Ellicottville is a 4 Season recreational paradise. At its heart, Ellicottville is unashamedly a ski town. Holiday Valley and Holimont offer some of the best skiing in the East. Holiday Valley is open to the public 7 days a week. Holimont is North America’s largest private ski club and is members only at the weekend, but open to the public during the week.
If downhill is not your thing, cross-country skiing, snow shoeing or snow mobiling are all great winter pastimes. As the snows melt, a whole new season of activities begins. Ellicottville’s skiing is awesome, but it’s mountain biking is “epic” – so says the International Mountain Biking Association. White water rafting is close by and National Geographic lists Ellicottville as one of its Top 100 adventure town destinations.
For golfers, Holiday Valley’s Black Diamond is probably the most well known golf course in Ellicottville, but there are numerous options within a short drive.
Festival season is every season! Most weekends you’ll find something going on – from Mardi Gras, to Summer Fest, Music Fest, Fall Fest, Beer Fest……..you get the picture!
