Holimont is North America’s biggest private ski club. That’s in addition to Holiday Valley being ranking 6th in the East by Ski Magazine. Most destinations would be happy with either of these ski resorts, but Ellicottville is greedy!
It may be North America’s biggest private ski club, however it’s anything but stuffy. Firstly, the joining fees are much more reasonable than you would find if you joined a private club in Ontario. Secondly, the members wouldn’t stand for it. Ellicottville might be nicknamed “The Aspen of the East”, but you are more likely to see crock pots than caviar in the main chalet. The Après is legendary. We will say no more about that! What happens in Holimont after all!
On the Mountain
Its vertical is slightly less than Holiday Valley. It checks in at 700 feet while Holiday Valley‘s vertical drop is 750 feet. Like Holiday Valley, however, it boasts exceptional lift infrastructure. As a result, when combined with fewer skiers, you will never be short of kilometers skied!
Holimont has 53 runs serviced by 8 lifts. Again, like Holiday Valley, it has exceptional snow making and grooming so conditions are always great.
Weekdays at Holimont
Holimont is members only at the weekend. Between Monday and Thursday, however, it is open to the public. It’s a great way to try another Ellicottville ski hill or to see if a membership might be right for you.
In the Member’s Words
What better way to learn about Holimont than from the members themselves. Check out this short video:
